Claims Process
Once your general practitioner has referred you to a specialist, simply call us on 08703 50 40 30 and one of our Claims Advisors will assist you.
Our claims staff will evaluate and respond to your particular query promptly.
They will either post you a claims form or you can download a claim form online, whichever you prefer.
After you have completed and returned the necessary forms to us we aim to assess your claim between 24 - 48 hours and notify you either by phone or by letter whether the required consultation or treatment is covered under your Freedom policy.
Once you received confirmation from one of our Claims Advisors, you can go ahead and see your chosen Specialist. If your Specialist recommends further treatment or surgical procedure(s), Part B of the claim form should be completed by your chosen Specialist, confirming that the proposed treatment or surgical procedure is medically necessary. *
In-patient or Day-case procedures
If at any time in-patient or day-patient surgical procedures are recommended, we pay you a fixed amount for that surgery. It is important that you advise the hospital that you are a self-pay patient prior to admission and you must obtain a fixed price procedure from the hospital for your proposed treatment.
Your Excess is deducted from the Benefits we pay when you make a claim.
Out-patient treatment
As out-patient bills are lower in value with higher frequency, we generally settle these directly with the providers to ensure a swift and efficient service is upheld at all times.
